Harshavardhan Alka Rajendra Karnik is an Indian pharmaceutical research scholar with a multidisciplinary academic and professional background in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical nutrition, and chemical drug technology. He completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and later pursued double post-graduation, earning a Master of Clinical Nutrition (MCN) and an M.Tech in Chemical – Drugs and Pharmaceutical. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, India, where his research focuses on advanced areas of pharmaceutics, drug delivery systems, pharmaceutical analysis, and biomedical therapeutics. His scientific work covers novel drug delivery systems, nanoparticle-based formulations, phytochemical and herbal drug research, pharmaceutical analytical method development, pharmacological evaluation, and biomedical disease research. He is also interested in 3D printing technology in pharmaceutical dosage forms, probiotic-based formulations, and innovative therapeutic strategies for gastrointestinal and metabolic disorders. Harshavardhan Alka Rajendra Karnik has contributed to the academic community through seven national and international research publications in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and information technology. Along with his research activities, he has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to continuous learning by completing more than 225 state, national, and international certifications. In addition, he has earned 18 international professional diplomas, including a diploma in journalism, reflecting his interdisciplinary interests and dedication to knowledge across diverse domains. Beyond academia, Harshavardhan Alka Rajendra Karnik has been actively engaged in social and heritage conservation activities since 2010, particularly in the areas of fort conservation and preservation of historical and cultural heritage sites in Maharashtra. His efforts toward social awareness, heritage protection, and community engagement have been recognized with several prestigious honors, including the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam National Award (2024), an Honorary Doctorate from the American Merit Council (2024), the Maharashtra Kirti Puraskar (2025), and the Shiv‑Chhatrapati Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar (2026). These awards acknowledge his contributions to society, education, and heritage preservation. In addition to his academic, research, and social work, Harshavardhan Alka Rajendra Karnik follows a spiritually oriented lifestyle and is deeply devoted to various saints and spiritual traditions of Maharashtra. He is a devotee of Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukhmini, and reveres saints such as Sant Dnyaneshwar, Sant Tukaram, Sant Janabai, Sant Eknath, Sant Kanopatra, Sant Chokhamela, Gajanan Maharaj, Sai Baba of Shirdi, and Swami Samarth.
